Abstract:
Discussion of recent work using sound and video in conjunction with web based newsletters and kiosk type displays. At Fermilab we are exploring the use of video and sound delivered via the web to enhance and add value to internal communications. These techniques are also used in kiosk type displays and web newsletters as part of our outreach program. We are also investigating the use of multimedia tools for training, in the form of tutorial presentations in a helpdesk environment and online.

Our experience with the production of these types of media will be presented. Examples will be given of recent and current projects. The paper will discuss the pluses and minuses and the techniques that have been used.
