Abstract:
In the tradition of past Alumni Colloquia, I'll have an informal discussion on life after graduating UIC, from studying two-particle correlations in the desolate reaches of Brookhaven National Laboratory to the prairies of Fermilab. I'll talk about the challenges involved in managing Big Computing for the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment, and where we are heading in the future.
