Abstract:
Email is an essential part of daily work. The FNAL gateways process in excess of 700,000 messages per week. Among those messages are many containing viruses and unwanted spam.

This paper outlines the FNAL email system configuration. We will discuss how we have defined our systems to provide optimum uptime as well as protection against viruses, spam and unauthorized users.
