Event Info: Abstract:
Cloud computing offers on-demand, elastic provisioning of compute
resources, it empowers the users to build and manage their own
infrastructure and empowers the system operators to better secure,
consolidate and manage the physical resources through its life cycle.
In this seminar we will present some basic concepts of cloud computing
and what it means for the future of grid computing. We will also
present experimental results of setting up clouds at Clemson
University using KVM and at CERN using OpenNebula and Xen. These two
experiences will be compared in technical details.
